Coleraine town centre had a fantastic turnout on Bank Holiday Monday as families and young people came out for the successful K-Pop Demon Hunter Day organised by Coleraine Connect.
The event featured live K-pop performances and meet-and-greets, along with family-friendly entertainment throughout the town centre. Live music from Jamie Sloan on Kingsgate Street was popular, while North Coast Alpacas attracted visitors of all ages.
Even with the warm weather and many people expected to head to the coast, the town centre stayed busy all day. Visitors gathered from late morning, ahead of the performances. At one point during the event, well over 1,200 people were watching live online via the performers’ TikTok streams.
This successful event follows the recent rebrand from Coleraine BID to Coleraine Connect and the launch of the organisation’s new website www.coleraineconnect.com, which offers information on upcoming events, local news, town centre initiatives, and business activities.
MINI SHOW
Next up is Coleraine Connect’s Classic Mini Show, taking place on Saturday, June 6 from 1pm to 3pm at the Event Space in Coleraine town centre. This event is organised in collaboration with Norn Iron Classic Minis and aims to raise funds for Charis Cancer Care.
It will showcase a range of iconic classic Minis built from 1959 to 2000, including both restored and customised vehicles from enthusiasts across Northern Ireland.
Visitors can get a close look at the cars, talk with their owners, and learn more about the history and restoration of some of the vehicles on display.
Entertainment on the day will include performances from the Rock Choir and Jamie Sloan, along with more family-friendly activities throughout the town centre.
These events are free to attend and are part of Coleraine Connect’s ongoing program of town centre activities that aim to encourage foot traffic, support local businesses, and create a lively atmosphere for visitors and residents alike.
