McGuigan condemns attack on Ballymoney church
Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan has appealed for anyone with information on the attack on a Ballymoney Church to bring it forward.
The North Antrim MLA said:
“I unreservedly condemn the attack on Our Lady and St Patrick’s Church in
Ballymoney on Sunday.
“Damage was caused to the door as a result of the fire but thankfully the fire was extinguished quickly and the extent of the damage contained. If the fire hadn’t been noticed when it was then obviously we could have been looking at very serious damage to the chapel.
“Police are investigating what happened as a deliberate arson attack.
