Ballymoney United are delighted to announce the appointment of Clifford Adams as the new manager of Ballymoney United first team. Clifford joins Ballymoney United after leaving his post as assistant manager of Carrick Rangers FC earlier this year. Clifford has had previous success at clubs such as Ballyclare Comrades, Wakehurst and Ballymena United.
Clifford will be joined by his Assistant Manager John McAllister who also worked with Clifford at Carrick and at various other clubs.
Excited to get on board starting with pre-season training, push boundaries, challenge the league and most importantly do what he can to win trophies, Clifford has commented, “Absolutely over the moon for the opportunity to manage what is already a good team, I never really thought about moving down the leagues but once Noel (chairman) called me about the job and started talking about the opportunities there I was excited for the chance to come in and build upon the existing team, to put measures in place that will challenge and most importantly to help the team get back to a strong position were they once were. ”
As his first act as Manager, Clifford has re-signed club captain Gerald Gillan to start his efforts in building a strong, competitive team.
We wish the boys the best for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing where it takes us.
